Summary
Jeanne is a little bit of a woman who, during the 1940-45 war, did not hesitate for a second to invest herself in continuing the family butcher’s shop, even if it meant walking the 12.5 km that separate Nadrin from La Roche every day. At the beginning of the war, Jeanne was pregnant, she then raised her son André alone for 5 years before her husband Charles, a prisoner of war, could finally join her. Jeanne is the great-grandmother of Neal Baltus, the Chef behind the stoves at Signé Jeanne. In every plate that comes out of Neal’s kitchen, we find a little bit of Jeanne, her strength, her determination, her irresistible will to live.
